TLDR: The service here is phenomenal. Food wise, the highlights were the appetizers and desserts, with the entrées leaving a little more to be desired. But wow those desserts... I'd come back just for dessert! ------ FOOD: * Comes with a bread course with flakey salt and plates of olive oil. Bread was fine, nothing special or warm. 1. [MUST TRY] Flourless Chocolate Cake (5/5) - Usually flourless cakes are super dense, but this was somehow light and airy, which I much prefer. Paired with the whipped cream on the side, this was a heavenly way to end the meal. 2. [MUST TRY] Spanakopita (5/5) - Super crispy pastry on the outside, and hot + fresh filling inside. One of the best spanakopitas I've ever had. 3. Ice Cream Sundae (5/5) - This thing is MASSIVE. It's every child's (and adult's) dream come true. It's topped off with huge hazelnuts too. 4. Octopus (4.5/5) - Tender, flavorful, and the lemon squeeze on top is great. Small portion though. 5. Lamb Riblets (4.5/5) - Comes on a plate of ~4 small ribs. These were fatty and delicious. A great option if you want to get lamb here without dedicating your entire entrée to lamb. 6. Spreads with Pita (4/5) - We got the Tirokafteri (feta), Tzatziki (yogurt), and Melitzanosalata (eggplant) spreads, and the Tirokafteri was my favorite by far. Pita was served warm which I loved, and the plate came with lots of other various veggies. 7. Lamb Chops (3/5) - Really needed salt or some sort of flavoring. The meat itself was tender, which was great, but I wish it was better seasoned. Came with 3 thick potato wedges which were well seasoned, though they could have been slightly crispier. ------ SERVICE: * The kind of place that clears crumbs from the table, folds napkins for you when you get up from the table, times courses perfectly so you're never waiting too long, and makes sure everything comes out at once for the table while the food is still hot. * This restaurant is huge (though ironically also always fully booked) and yet we never felt like service was slow or that they had forgotten about us. They run a tight ship here and I appreciate that! ------ ENVIRONMENT: * The restaurant has multiple different dining areas with some more intimate and others more airy and bright. It's a fun vibe to be there and it doesn't feel like a stuffy place even though it is upscale. You'll see all different groups here from families to business groups to couples. * Quite a bit of street parking around this area * Highly recommend making a reservation well in advance if you plan to come

Four of us sat down to our first dinner here and we were not disappointed! The service was impeccable with superb recommendations and explanations of dishes. In order for all of us to try a variety of items, we decided to order and dine "family style." Everything was superb! Our group raved about all of it but agreed that the ravioli was perfect along with the halibut. (I inadvertently missed pics of the oktopodaki tou yiorgou (grilled octopus) and kilokithokeftehes (zucchini patties) that we also enjoyed.) We also tried a couple of yummy desserts as well. This has got to be the absolute best Greek dining experience we have ever had. Highly recommend.

After years of anticipation, I finally had the pleasure of dining at this modern Greek restaurant, and it did not disappoint. The ambiance was lively, with every table occupied, and the sight of a whole lamb roasting in the center of the restaurant added to the authenticity. I opted for the feta cheese, dolma, and grilled lamb chops. While the meat was incredibly juicy and flavorful, I have to give this place a 4/5 rating. The appetizers didn't quite capture the authentic Greek flavors I was expecting, and the overall price was a bit on the higher side. Nevertheless, it was a memorable dining experience that I would recommend to others.

Our Kokkari love continues! We recently planned a spur of the moment trip to San Francisco and found ourselves near Kokkari at dinnertime. We called and secured a last-minute reservation for two at the bar and savored another incredible dinner! We shared the sizzling saghanaki (pan-fried cheese, yes please!) and beautifully balanced Kokkari salad (arugula, strawberries, pine nuts, and feta). He enjoyed the lamb chops (when in Greece...or a Greek restaurant!) and an Oxi Negroni (n/a). I loved the clean halibut filet and a glass of the new-to-me Russian River Pinot from Oakwild Ranch. The delicious food, warm environment, and welcoming service together make Kokkari a such special spot that we hope to return to for years to come!

Came here for a team dinner and ordered a huge assortment of food. Service was great esp for our huge party of 9 guests and was very accommodating. Would recommend the oven baked fish (not pictured) - it's super tender on the inside. I would also recommend the ribeye which was great. Overall would recommend for a special occasion as it's on the pricier side.

Food (5/5): While expensive, the quality is extremely high here. I had the sea bass and it was absolutely amazing. They did a wonderful job of removing the bones from the fish and making it easy to eat. A lot of restaurants don't even put the effort. There were only a few bones that couldn't be caught. My friend had the lamb chop which was amazing when I tried a bit as well. The appetizers we got including the fried sardines and octopus were super delicious and well made. Top notch meal. The only caveat is that the day after I got a bit sick. I can't necessarily pin point it to this meal but this was the last thing I eat. Regardless, keeping the 5 star score because it's hard to tell if this was the issue and the actual food experience was wonderful. Service (5/5): Attentive and friendly service where the servers did a great job of checking up on us, communicating about dishes, and making us feel welcomed. They said the fish would be deboned but some might still be left, and wow they actually did a good job as discussed above. The food came out at a good pace and the overall experience was wonderful. Ambiance (5/5): Wow, such an amazingly decorated restaurant with Greek ovens, nice bar area, private dining rooms, and a rustic feel. It's also extremely large and spacious. Really top notch ambiance.

The service was great. The waiter memorized the extra menu items and the wait staff was really attentive. I had the octopus salad for lunch. And I absolutely loved how tasty and tender the octopus was. I also had a taste of the chicken and that too was also tasty. The ambiance of the restaurant it definitely feels like a fine dining experience. The desserts had more options then the entrees for lunch.

Finally had the chance to try the famous Kokkari and so glad I did! The fiance was able to snag a last minute reservation there and we were able to go around 7:30pm on a Monday night. The restaurant was crowded but lively but we were quickly seated. We ended up ordering: * lamb meatballs - these were delicious and absolutely loved the tomato sauce this came with * fried zucchini cakes - I'm not sure how to say the proper name but these were soooo good. Light crispy and flavorful in every bite! * lamb chops - soft succulent and juicy these were great with the fries it came with. Portions are a little small but food taste and quality is great * moussaka - at first I wasn't going to order this but I'm so glad I did! This was like a delicious light cloudy lasagna but without too much cheese? Not sure what the top part was but it was a creamy goodness * stuffed spring rolls with ice cream - this was the dessert and so delicious as it was filled with a custard and crispy outside. This went amazing with the pistachio ice cream! Overall the food and ambiance was awesome!
